Programme

Our base camp, the Maljasset refuge, lies deep in this authentic valley... in short, the perfect recipe for 3 days of total immersion and a complete change of scenery!

For those with previous off-piste ski touring experience.

Day 1 - Le Crachet
  • Meet at 8am at the Les Orres roundabout (322 D40 05200 Baratier).
If you don't have a car, meet at Embrun station at 7.40am (please send an email if you do).
  • First contact with your instructor - don't worry if he seems a bit gruff at first sight... in reality he's really nice!
  • Presentation of the 3-day programme, equipment check and transfer to the Col de Vars, the starting point for the day's hike, for a gentle warm-up to check everyone's level and review (or see for some) the safety rules and techniques.
  • Transfer to Maljasset - 1910 m
  • Debriefing of the day and presentation of the next day's programme.
  • Ascent: +/-900 m

Day 2 - Tour of the Aiguille Large
  • A beautiful tour taking in the Mary valley, passing at the foot of the majestic Aiguille Pierre-André and finishing the descent in a beautiful larch forest.
  • Debriefing of the day and presentation of the next day's programme.
  • Ascent: +/-1100

D3- Pointe Basse de Mary
  • We soon leave the route we took the day before to follow a parallel valley before reaching some slopes that straighten out and allow you to put all your conversion skills into practice! The summit, at an altitude of 3126 m, offers a wide panorama of the Southern Alps.
  • Return to Embrun, debriefing the day and the trip.
  • Difference in altitude: +/-1150
  • Map: IGN Top 25 3538ET - AIGUILLE DE CHAMBEYRON

OUR ADVICE :)
Despite the cold of winter or the mildness of spring, during this adventure where we are going to go from very cold to very hot and from very hot to very cold fairly quickly, it is important to be able to modulate the temperature.
from very cold to very hot and from very hot to very cold quite quickly, it's important to be able to modulate your layers.
layers. The weather can also change (for the better or worse) just as quickly, so don't take the above list lightly.
so don't take the above list lightly, you could suffer unpleasant or even dangerous consequences.
Clothes that are too warm will make you sweat, and if this moisture isn't evacuated as much as possible, you won't be able to keep warm.
you won't be able to keep warm even with a huge down jacket.
The 3-layer system works very well, and we recommend it. Personally, we often
often have a 4th layer just in case (sleeveless down jacket, for example).
INSURANCE ?
All participants in a SKI & MONTAGNE EXPÉRIENCES holiday must be covered by an individual civil liability
liability insurance.
Similarly, it is imperative that you are covered (rescue and repatriation costs) in the event of an incident or accident during your stay.
